Online selling fees calculator
A sale at £25 is rarely £25 in your pocket. Put in the price, the fees your platform charges and what postage and the item cost you, and see what is really left.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type leaves your device — no accounts, no cookies, no tracking.
Fees are on the total
Most platforms charge their percentage on what the buyer pays, postage included. This calculator takes the percentages from the total (price plus postage charged), because that is the common way. Check yours.
Enter your own rates
Fees differ by platform and change often, so this page does not hold a rate card. Take the percentages and the fixed fee from your platform's own fee page and put them in. Some free-to-sell options exist: eBay, for example, charges private UK sellers no final value fee when items sell.
Then look at what is left
What you keep is what the buyer paid, minus the fees, minus the postage you paid, minus what the item cost you. Divide it by the price to see your margin, and watch it when a postage change eats it.

Questions
Which platform is this for?
Any marketplace that takes a percentage and a fixed amount: Etsy, eBay, Vinted, Depop and others. You supply the rates.
Does it include my time?
No. Add the hours in the earn-an-hour calculator to see what the sale really paid.
What about tax?
This is before tax. If you sell regularly it counts as trading, so see the trading allowance page.
